Ribbon microphones are well known for their smooth sound. They are very fast in picking up the sound waves and give a warm natural sound. But the ribbon itself is very, very fragile and made out of thin aluminum. So what to do if you need a new ribbon. Look at the pictures and see my work!

A rare Telefunken Ela M 25b ribbon mic from the 1930ies with a broken ribbon. I produced a new ribbon, replaced it, adjusted the tension, and it sounded great agagin.

Hier ist ein sehr seltenes Telefunken Ela M25b Bändchenmikrofon aus den 30er Jahren. Ich stellte ein neues Bändchen her, ersetzte es und stellte die Spannung ein. Jetzt ist es wieder betriebsbereit und klingt hervorragend.
